Election Day November 3, 2026 Countdown

About project2026.icu

project2026.icu is dedicated to preserving American democracy. TOGETHER, we can stop the erosion of freedom and secure justice, opportunity, and stability for all Americans. This isn’t about left vs right - it’s about freedom vs authoritarian control. The threats we face are deliberate, organized, and advancing but with unity and action, we can defeat them.

Let's get right to it... Project 2025 (900 pages) or here's a snapshot of the authoritarian blueprint dismantling our freedoms, racing toward autocracy, and undermining representative government for all Americans. For further research into policy that has already been enacted, have a look at this crosswalk of policy categories and status. It's important to note, at least 18 of the 34 primary authors or contributors now serve in the current administration’s cabinet, and estimates suggest roughly 70% of cabinet-level officials have ties to Project 2025 or its sponsoring institutions.

Project 2025 is not just a policy plan. It’s institutionalized destruction of American democracy - a legalistic blueprint to dismantle checks and balances, purge neutral governance, and entrench one-party rule.

Don't stand by quietly while they silence your voice!

Gerrymandering, voter suppression, and disinformation make this authoritarian plan possible. Partisan map-rigging strips voters of fair representation. Voter suppression is widespread. And, while there are no “alternative facts,” many politicians and unfortunately some voters promote such nonsense. The best defense is simple; fight back with an informed vote.

Why focus on voting? Because it’s our last line of defense - and the only proven way to defeat partisan gerrymandering.  In Rucho v. Common Cause (2019), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal courts cannot hear challenges to partisan gerrymanders, leaving the issue to state courts and legislatures. Many states now permit or even defend partisan maps, silencing millions of voters. This “gerrymander war” threatens to erase the voice of everyday Americans. History suggests the remedy is simple and powerful - VOTE.

As a free country, but with significant democratic erosion, we still have time to awaken those on the sidelines, persuade those who can be persuaded, and preserve the life we know with our collective vote. We can't rely on fairness, the courts, or political leaders to get this right. "We the People" must do this together. Join our fight against tyranny and let's work together to overcome unfair voting practices and take back our voices.

Partisan Gerrymandering

Partisan gerrymandering - drawing districts to favor one party is the single greatest impediment to fair elections.

Districting could serve citizens if it were based on shared realities like economic ties, watershed boundaries, or climate zones... where what benefits one community benefits all.

Instead, the process is exploited to secure seats for parties, not people, distorting representation and undermining the will of voters.

runner on a track jumping over hurdles labeled id laws, poll closures, roll purges.

Voter Suppression

Voter suppression takes many forms: restrictive ID laws, roll purges without notice, polling place closures, and limits on registration. Each one reduces turnout and weakens democracy.

In 2024, estimates suggest at least 20 million registered voters did not cast a ballot for president. Another 26% of voting-eligible citizens—roughly 50 million people aren’t registered at all.

About 154 million votes were cast in the last presidential election. Imagine the impact of 70 million more voices being heard. Expanding participation is both our duty and our best defense of democracy.

Disinformation / Misinformation

Disinformation is rampant on social media, propaganda outlets, and even from politicians themselves. The goal is simple: to make truth harder to find. When confidence in facts and science erodes, citizens become easier to control.

The architects of this “flood the zone” strategy exploit faith, misuse public office, and weaponize every platform to deceive.

We all encounter misinformation daily. As voters, we must learn to discern facts, stay informed, and share the truth like our freedom depends on it—because it does.

Fight Back

Change the Math

Unexpected, overwhelming voter turnout is the only way to defeat partisan gerrymandering.

Gerrymandered maps are designed to win districts with the bare minimum margin, usually just 5–10%, so neighboring districts remain protected as well. In most of the 435 House districts, that margin equals only 40,000–80,000 votes.

That may sound daunting - but here’s the math. If just 25–30% of active Democratic and independent voters each convinced one “sideline voter” or persuadable neighbor to cast a ballot, those margins would vanish. Extreme turnout doesn’t just change the math - it breaks the gerrymander.

conversation bubbles suggesting change the message from cult of personality to issues only.

Change the Message

We must shift the narrative from “blue vs. red” and personality cults to issue-based messaging that speaks to what people truly care about: healthcare, prices, jobs, rights, and freedom.

Politicians come and go; it’s policy that shapes our lives.

For 250 years, American ideals of fairness, liberty, and shared culture have driven this country forward. There was a time when mutual respect guided governance - when leaders who disagreed still worked together to preserve freedom for all. Different views, same democracy.

Nostalgia alone won’t get us where we need to go. But we can reclaim the spirit of leaders who put country first - and use it to build a freer, fairer future.

Fight Disinformation

Call it out when you see or hear it, but do it in a non-threatening way.

People stop listening when they feel attacked. We’ve all heard, “Don’t discuss politics or religion.” Yet these are exactly the topics we should discuss, because nothing impacts our lives more.

Deflection has become the norm in politics. Every day we hear “what about…?” instead of direct answers. It’s so routine that many accept it instead of rejecting it.

That has to change. Counterproductive voices don’t deserve a platform. If elected officials aren’t talking about the issues that affect our lives, they don’t deserve our votes. Hold them accountable. Vote for policies, not distractions.

The Playbook

1. Register and help others register.

Check your registration on your state’s official site or at Vote.orgThen help at least one other person register or check their status. Follow through with them — make it a shared commitment to ensure both of your votes count. Use the "buddy system."

2. Get to the polls and help others get there too.

Look up polling places and hours ahead of time. Offer rides. Remind people to bring required ID. On Election Day, the rules are already set, follow them. Your only job is to make sure every vote is cast and counted.

3. Talk issues, not personalities.

When engaging “persuadables,” counter misinformation calmly. Ask if they’ll discuss issues — healthcare, jobs, rights, costs — and avoid focusing on candidates. Start where your values overlap. You may not change a mind immediately, but you can plant a seed that helps people think about what’s truly in their best interest.

Can I discuss something with you? We both believe in democracy and freedom - right? It seems like our country is so divided now and it's only getting worse. And, while we argue - politicians take away our freedoms and money - neither of us want that.  We probably want similar things but sometimes it's hard to talk about it.

Can we have a kind and honest discussion about what we both believe is happening and how we can fix it? Let's not talk about people or politicians but instead just the issues we care about - is that ok? You are a (fill in the blank). so you must care about ...
